We've all read that Kirkman wants to stray a bit from the source material because he believes something like what works on comic doesnt work on tv. So do you agree with this? What and how much do you think could or should be changed? Would you rather it be extremely loyal to the source material?

I think it's a great idea for him to stray from the comics but hopefully not a lot. It would gives us comic fans actual reason to watch instead of saying "well this is exactly the same as that one issue so why should i even watch this?" If they had to change some things I say I would like to change how Rick got into the coma, I dont know much about the body but i'm sure being shot in the armpit wouldn't put you in a coma for a month. maybe give more time to glenn because it seemed once they got to the camp it centered a bit more on rick and shane.

I would like to see some more of life before the outbreak with Lori and Carl. Maybe just a scene in the house before Rick went to work that day. I think it would make the reunion stronger as you would know what Lori and Carl look like and their relationship with Rick.

The only thing I didn't like in TWD comic was the whole dead lori phone conversation thing. So not sure I'd want to see that.

trust me roy that will totally be in there...i can see him picking up the phone and finding out it's lori as a cliffhanger. I am pretty sure that will probably leave out the governer raping his zombie daughter. Maybe they will do some flashbacks of the characters lives before the outbreak.

one of the things I see being changed is Rick losing his hand

Starve your fear, feed your life. You'll find that you might be completely different all together.

And then you'll decide which one you like better.

If I remember correctly in letter hacks somewhere Kirkman was asked if there was anything he regretted doing and the one thing he said was cutting off Ricks hand. So I wonder if it will be one of the things that gets changed. They got a while to decide tho cause that would take a couple seasons to get to I think.

This goping to be like a double dose of crack when it hits and to be honest can not come soon enough. We do know this it is going to be different and loosley follow the story line per kirkmans own words, He said in a few interviews that he did not want the people who read the book to know every thing thats going to happen. Rick should loose his hand I hope, for some reason it just makes his character more human , I think.

i don't know it seems to almost make him superhuman...i mean he loses his hand, he gets shot amongst other things and he is still living and fine. That makes him almost superhuman. In real life he would be dead by now in the storyline.

i think they should start earlier in the storyline and show all the initial panic.  so we could see the normal world turn into the ruins of a world it eventually becomes.  plus its always fun to see the media try to explain things before they're taken offf the air.

I'm with my buddy, Cashel.  I still wish Kirkman would make an issue 0 showcasing the first strike of the zombies.  I love emergency broadcast systems telling the populace that "we're going off the air".  At one time, he acted like he was going to do one.  But that was a long time ago.   But for the television show, I think it would work quite nicely.
