The Walking Dead Fan Club

Was told tonite by my friend who works there,that Charlie is doing a signing next week at the shop!

If this is true then not only will I be getting my Fanclub prints signed,buying some splash pages and getting issue 69 signed,but I will be requesting one or two sketches:D

Now heres were Ied like your guys help!

I want a unique sketch or two done by Mr Adlard,one that must contain Carl!

I was thinking him and Sophia as Zombies ripping apart the Twins or Rick and him tearing through Abes stomach!

Carl and Sophia as zombies with Abe taking it down town.  Tell him his interview at the site was awesome.  Don't keep him from drawing too long, I want that next issue:)  Of course, he's probably already drawing 101 as we speak, the fast devil.  Ask lots of questions and don't forget to relay them to your friends here.:)

Asked the guys for more information today,apparently its not just Charlie coming,but a few other comic book industry types!Il find out names and let you guys know!

Still thinkin of goin with the Carl and Sophie/twins thing,for the other one was jus thinking bout getting a Glen with Carl pic.This will be my second time meeting Charlie and Im gonna try and pump him for more info on the TV show and action figures/statues!

I'd buy a sketch from you if it involved Abe and a zombie.  You have my word on that.  Or better yet, Abe as a zombie.  Just saying.  Yeah, pump him for info concerning the show, I'm not getting enough info to satiate my curiosity.  But, then again, that's hard to do.

congradualtions on getting to meet the guy responsible for getting me to reead comics.  you should have him do a mars attacks the walking dead.  mars attacks was the first ccomic by adlard that i ever read.  thanks, bro.

No.  Well, kind of.  Topps comics put out a great comic entitled Mars Attacks that Charlie drew the first few issues of.  He also did X-Files.  Both were our first introduction to the man.  Mars Attacks was great.  It started out reallly serious but took a turn as the series progressed, eventually crossing over with Savage Dragon and Image.  It was never finished and the last issue was published in black and white.  Its worth checking out if you can find any of the issues.  It was published at the same time the movie came out but didn't share the same continuity.  It was more based on the trading cards from the fifties.   I still can't find all my issues.  I think Cashel has some of them hidden under a bed somewhere in the house.

Yeah.  After hours of looking, I finally found my Mars Atttacks comics.  My relative had nothing to do with hiding them.  I had stuck them in with my --well, that doesn't matter.  But, yeah, they produced X-Files comics and a few others but went out of business in the later ninties.   Mars Attacks started with a mini-series that showcased Keith Giffen on scripts and Charlie Adlard on pencils.  It continued a regular series for seven issues with Dwight Jon Zimmerman writing and various artists on art duties.  Next, there was a baseball special complete with human heads as bases.  Then a two - issue high school special.  Then there was Mars Attacks the Image universe published by Image and a four-issue mini by Topps called Mars Atttacks the Savage Dragon.  CHarlie was not invoved with these.  Interesting series, though.  At least for me and my sister.  But I liked the movie, as well.  SO take my statements with a grain of salt.

I ordered the two issues I was missing from mycomicshop.com today.  Adlard did the first two issues of the regular series , as well.

Charlie's artwork has progressed a lot since then.  More stmospheric.  Of course the black and white helps with the gray tones but still.  Charlie is the man when it comes to comics like the Walking Dead but Mars Attacks might not suit his style as well.

So today I got Siekone's pic of Rick and Abe back to back ready for some zombie killing,my Fanclub prints signed,zombie Carl and Sophia ripping the twins apart,Glen and a zombie Abe!
