Like it wasn't going to happen? This just confirms that I will have to schedule family night the night this airs

You mean The Mist book has a different ending!?

What happens?

Does this mean the series is not for sure, yet?  And will the pilot be aired even if no series follows?  Is it a two hour pilot?  The mind boggles.  Whatever the case, I'm happy and hope for the best.  If ever there was a comic deserving of the serial storytelling of television, the Walking Dead is it.  Here's to a possible seasonone and beyond.   Congrats, Robert and crew!

No this doesn't mean it will make it to air. They could make the pilot and AMC can say no we don't want it. The only thing that is guarenteed is that AMC wants to see a pilot and they will make a decidsion from that pilot so it better be a damn good one.

sort of.  where the book ends, the movie goes on for another minute or two with a nice twist.  both endings are great tho.

I haven't seen the mist either.  I've seen the preview and it looks quite good.  I need to get out and rent this puppy.

I can't wait for this- I really think that AMC is the best network for this- they really care about the storytelling.  Moog - with you on the toys! n I got the Rick Grimes statue from C.S. Moore studios- they said the were going t o create figues to peice with it ti create a whole scene- so far just one zombie.

The statues are sweet.  I saw the Rick one in a comic store a few years back.  But i want to be able to reenact scenes from the comic with my little plastic men.  Have a zed eat a joe for instance.

I just went out and rented the Mist.  A bunch of us are going to watch it this evening over popcorn and brewskies.  I'll let you know what i think.  If it is anything like the preview, I think I'll dig it a lot.  I'm always a fan of different people stuck in one solitary place with unspeakable evil outside.  That about sums the premise of this movie up, I would say.
