So Team Grimes has finally made it to DC and the Safe Zone. Everything seems pretty nice. Or Does it?

I don't know guys, like Rick said in issue 68 "if it's toogood to be true, it probably is" my thoughts went to that after seeing Douglas smack around Heath for mentioning Davidson. Although I guess I can't jump to conclusions just from that. I just amkinda cynical of this place like i'm sure most of the characters are. what do you guys think?

Its strange none the least, I think they will stay here for a while to come, This guy trusts rick it looks like but may think to much of him? either way very intresting to see where this go's. On a side note this for some reason had a strange excitment to the read? Just me?

I'm assuming that Davidson was the previous constable, and apparently some bad shit went down. i'm getting a High Plains Drifter vibe from this community.  anyone else?  i had to wonder, if Rick is said to have Davidson-esque qualities, and now Rick is given a position of power (Davidson's?) why would Douglas do that, unless he thought he could control Rick?  Maybe Davidson didn't have a kid...

whether i'm close or waaaay off, I'm absolutely loving the ominous mood this issue is setting up.

yeah I know what you mean Darby. I really wanna know who this Davidson character is or was. Maybe he's dead or banished. And what could he of made them do? Canabalize? Murder children? Murder boxes full of puppies? Who knows?

i'm thinking he did his job and discovered something that "made" them have to get rid of him.

Im getting the whisleblower vibe from the whole Davidson convo.

And what he made them do was kill him.

Starve your fear, feed your life. You'll find that you might be completely different all together.

And then you'll decide which one you like better.

I think Davidson ate their last box of Twinkies.....

And what he made them do was dress up like ladies, tuck their dicks between their legs and look "sexy"

Thats why Douglas got angry with Heath, brought back the shame

Walking Dead probably just has a sort of rolling time-line. It's not set in a specific year, so as long as they're vague about details of the pre-apocalypse, they can say it is set in the year that it currently is.

I was thinking the whole time line thing being vague would have meant more sense.Im sure I read in one of the early letter Hacks that Kirkman said it was set in 2004.Looks like that needs to be retconned.....

its 2004 if Kirkman continues to follow what he has already set-up.  Tyreese was a football player in '98, right?  Don't have the issue in front of me.   I like the fact that the comic might take place in the past.  I wouldn't mind a speeding up of the timeline if only to see Carl and Sophia grow up a tad.  I'm still pulling for zombie-killer teen angst with Carl.  Still probably my favorite character next to Abe and Glenn.

Good issue.  The sucking out of the eyeballs.  Was that based on a real-life account?  Horrible.  Sticks with you, though.  I look forward to the introduction of even more characters.

and intrigue.

Why has nobody said this yet? RICK CUT HIS HAIR! He looked like such a viking.

And we finally got to see the stump again. (first time since 'The Calm Before').

I can't wait for the psychological complications of going from living in the Land of the Dead to a world pre-Dead.  PTSD is sure to sit in with some of the characters like Rick, Morgan, Abraham, Carl and Andrea.  I wonder whose going to be living with Rick and Carl, because Douglas did say that some would have to bunk with him.  I mean for as long as some of them have been living in the same quarters together wouldn't it be difficult to sleep alone in your own house?

I want more use of certain characters like Glenn and Magie or a least a little more history of Rosita.

I love how many story lines could come out of this.  I hope they are here as long as they were in the Prison.
