So, I'm thinking that a cool cliffhanger for the first season would be Glenn and Rick seeing the Helicopter just before the Woodbury arc, then the first episode of the 2nd season would start off with Rick waking up without his hand, Michonne about to be raped, and Glenn getting psychologically tortured or whatever, then the rest of the episode is a flashback showing how it all happened.

Though, this is just my opinion. I know it's not what happened in the comic, but they're obviously gonna do their own thang in the show. We'll be lucky if they even keep the story the same up to that point, I guess.
