Member Posts: 516 | just saw it. wasn't a fan of the cgi or "creative" funny kills but it was better than diary . as it stands the following is my opinion on best to worst: day dawn night land survival and the dreadful diary. what did everyone else think? i heard romero is directed two zombie flicks back-to-back next,

Alright, definitely gonna check it out. Was starting to wonder why you haven't posted lately on the comic forums. Cool beans.

Survival definitely isn't in my top 100 movies, but I don't think it was as terrible as people say it was. Though, I'm still hoping for a series of zombie movies that are sequels to one another. Kinda like the Walking Dead, where it's a continuing chronicle of one group of people in movie form. Like, a 6 movie epic or something.

Id have to say I actually liked Diary more then Survival; Just a personal preference. The only cool part for me was the harbor scene for Survival. With Diary I accepted the low quality, but I enjoyed the more intimate filming, as it was shown to be done by the cast. Made for a more believable survivor situation. However its not saying much when both of these films are ranked last and second to last on my list of Romero films.

i still need to watch this movie but hearing that there are cgi death effects does not give me hope...why do that? they are always so cheesy...go back to the old ways.

hands reaching up from the harbor while swimming to the ferry....cool....zombie girl twin riding a horse....lame.....
i own almost 60 zombie movies, and i put that at the bottom of the list with dead and breakfast (hair in box does not equal zombie...ugh) and children of the living dead.....survival was a one time watcher....unfortunatley i can not call myself a zombie fan without owning all of romero's zombie movies...so i will buy it, and let it collect dust.

I know we are here to talk about SURVIVAL but there is not to much to say about that movie. I will say that every zombie movie I have seen has good ideas or a neat little thing but most are surrounded by bullshit.
how about the day of the dead remake? zombie soldiers running and firing their guns wildly was awesome for the idea, Then you turn bub into bud and make him a vegitarian thats why he dosent eat us.... lame
My main point is why does everyone hate DIARY so much? I think it was done well with a new twist at the filming style. Sure romero had to blatantly tell us the zombie rules all over again but the deaths and cgi looked great. I agree that the ending sucked with no way out but I really think thats how most of us would go.
Well most of us would rally at walmart or somethin but I got a national gaurd station, a prison and at least three gunshops within 20 miles of my house so I will see you there with my copy of Diary of the dead.
Surviavl of the dead can kiss my ass! but I still watch it to put me to sleep. Haaaa

Here is my favorite Romero movies in order from best to least.
Dawn Night Day Diary Land Survival
I hated land for 'evolving zombies', but Survival was like getting hit in the head with a bat. I had to watch Dawn right away to clense my mind of that pure shit fest.
