The Walking Dead Fan Club

So I was reading on IMDB.com (cause they're always right?) and they talked about how the zombies will run in this show.  If this is true, I have to admit I will not be happy.  I hate when movies do running zombies.  Why do we have to manufacture terror with zombies?  Zombies are terrifying!  Maybe they are wrong and they meant that they stumble/half jog.  Thoughts?

from what i recall, the zombies' speed will depend on their state.  newer zombies wil be faster than older ones.  not necessarily fast, but faster.  i have no idea where i heard that.

Darby's right.  Darabont said that he based the zombies speed on the Night of the Living Dead zombies.  For the most part they walk/stumble but he specifically pointed to the fact that the zombie in the graveyard early in the movie is moving prettty quickly- almost jogging.  I'll try to find the interview... 

That's what I thought too.  Someone needs to let IMDB.com know this.  I hated the running zombies in the new Dawn of the Dead.  Zombieland was different, that was a comedy

That was from some of Dale's last words on his deathbed to Andrea:

Dale: Are you going to be able to do it? Because if you hesitate for one second....just  one second....I could get you. They're quicker at first, remember.

I looked it up. Nerd, I know. Ha!

i know zombies shouldn't be able to run they are dead and their body's are decomposing. so i would think it they ran they would fall apart

I do like that the fresher zombies are quicker than the decomposing.  Only makes sense and it, to me, scarier.  get the cake and eat it too.  jogging zombies rock:)
